1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Uvilox AI (“the Service”, “the Product”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
2. What Uvilox AI is
Uvilox AI is a software product in community beta that uses computer vision and machine learning to assist with Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation. It is:
- A communication aid — not a certified medical device
- A beta product — accuracy and reliability are still being measured and improved
- A tool to assist deaf and hard-of-hearing users — not a replacement for professional sign language interpreters
- Not a certified emergency dispatch system — the emergency feature uses India's 112 ERSS web request channel, not direct PSAP integration
3. Beta product disclaimer
Important: This product is in beta. Features may not work correctly. Accuracy of sign recognition is not guaranteed. Do not rely solely on this product in situations where communication failure could cause harm.
We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of this product for any particular purpose. Use it as one tool among many, not as your only means of communication.
4. Emergency feature — important limitations
Critical — please readThe emergency SOS feature in Uvilox AI is designed to assist deaf and hard-of-hearing users in contacting emergency services via India's 112 ERSS system. You must understand the following before using it:
- This feature sends a web request to the ERSS system — it is not a direct voice call to emergency dispatch
- Response times depend on the ERSS system and local emergency services — we have no control over them
- This feature requires an internet connection — it will not work without one
- This feature is in development — it may not work reliably in all situations
- Always have 112 saved in your phone as a backup. Do not rely only on this app in a genuine emergency.
Uvilox AI accepts no liability for failure of the emergency feature to reach or alert emergency services in a timely manner.
5. Your responsibilities as a user
By using Uvilox AI you agree to:
- Use the product only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the product or its models
- Not misuse the emergency SOS feature — false emergency alerts are a criminal offence in India under Section 182 IPC
- Provide accurate information when registering for beta access
- Not use the product in any way that could harm other users or third parties
6. Intellectual property
Copyright Act 1957All software, models, designs, and content in Uvilox AI are the intellectual property of the Uvilox AI team and are protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.

- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the product
- Loss of data, communication failures, or inaccurate sign recognition
- Any failure of the emergency feature to function as expected
- Any actions taken or not taken by emergency services in response to an SOS alert
Our total liability to any user for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to us in the 3 months preceding the claim. Since the beta is free, this means our liability is zero. This does not affect your statutory rights under Indian consumer protection law.
